Carrying on the work of Dominique Belluard

Domaine du Gringet

Much in the way of Dominique, Vincent Ruiz didn't make the full move to the Savoie until he could take part in the full growing season, ensuring he could feel the energy of the place and imbue his own, as well. Never in two decades have the lands been treated with chemicals, and Vincent continues this important tradition, allowing the cover crops to grow freely and keep the tractors out of the vineyards.

The biggest change brought is the end of the sparkling wine project; forever Gringet was more known as a source of average sparkling wines, but Dominique elevated its status to something completely beyond that - a wine more on the level of Premier & Grand Cru Chablis.

In the cellar, the wines are pressed very slowly over a long duration, drawing out the most delicate and complex flavors without adding too much bitterness. After pressing into concrete and ceramic vessels, the wines will age on their lees until bottling. Stay tuned in the future as Vincent infuses his red wine knowledge into the estate's Mondeuse plantings!
