RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
If you make an error while ordering, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Cancelled orders are subject to a 15% fee if your wine has not shipped. Once the order is en route, we unfortunately cannot accommodate cancellations.
All Invoices are Due on Receipt unless otherwise noted.
In the event of invoices being past due (within 10 Days of Invoicing)- they may be automatically cancelled without notice and subject to our 15% cancellation policy.
We do not accept cancellations on any pre-arrival or special order wines. All shipping and delivery timelines listed on our website are estimates only. While we always prioritize the safe arrival of your wines, delays may occur, and refunds will not be issued due to delayed shipments.
Pre-arrival timelines are subject to change. Thatcher’s LLC reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel pre-arrival orders due to circumstances beyond our control—including, but not limited to, changes in tariffs, import regulations, or other external factors.
Thatcher’s LLC is not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from changes to estimated arrival times.
If you believe there is an error with your order upon delivery, please contact us immediately so that we can review your request in a timely fashion. Requests must be submitted no later than three (3) business days after delivery and will be reviewed on an individual basis. Please note: Thatcher’s LLC will in no event issue cash refunds for or accept the return of wines over ten (10) years old.
We take the utmost care to ensure that all the wine we sell has been carefully stored and remains in sound condition. Unfortunately, TCA (or “cork taint”) is an anomaly that not even winemakers can control. Generally speaking, all of our wine is sold as-is, though we do encourage you to send us an email if you discover any issues with your wine upon opening.
Customers are responsible for tracking their shipments and ensuring that someone 21 years or older is available to receive the delivery. If a package is refused or undeliverable after multiple attempts, it will be returned to Thatcher’s LLC, and any return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
To help ensure smooth delivery, we recommend using a business address or a location where someone is typically available during delivery hours.
Shipments of wine and any and all alcoholic products from Thatcher’s Wine require an adult signature (21+) upon delivery. Carriers will not leave packages unattended, and a valid ID may be requested at the time of delivery.
To help avoid missed deliveries, we strongly recommend:
- Shipping to a business address or a location where someone 21+ is typically available during delivery hours.
Using a UPS or FedEx location for hold-for-pickup services.
If a delivery is missed and the package is returned to Thatcher’s Wine:
- $25 return processing fee will apply + full cost of reshipping the order will also be the responsibility of the customer.
- Address change requests made after a shipment is already in transit are subject to a $25 rerouting fee.
On certain items, you will note a limit on the availability per customer. (For example, you may see a 1 x 750ml limit, which means that only one bottle of that size can be sold to an individual customer.) We kindly ask that you do not abuse this limit by placing multiple orders. In the event that you disregard this policy, your subsequent orders will be cancelled and subject to a 5% cancellation fee. As an alternative, we invite you to email us directly at info@thatcherswine.com to request more than than the allowable amount, which we may or may not be able to accommodate depending on the circumstances
