Palish red. High-pitched aromas of cherry, redcurrant and caramel oak; some slightly exotic notes add to its appeal. Juicy, brisk and sharply delineated, with spice and pepper notes lifting the somewhat lean middle palate. Not especially complex but finishes with very good length and freshness, along with a faint saline note. At this point in our tasting, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair compared 2008 to a blend of 2001 and 2000.
