The 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (from Petit Montpertuis and Hautes Baudes) offers terrific density and power, with more than enough depth to handle the 100% whole clusters. Ample and rich on the palate, with terrific persistence, the 2017 has a lot to offer. Sweet red cherry, dried flowers, mint and chalk are all beautifully delineated in a wine that speaks with authority and real distinction.
